Periodontal
disease is a destructive and progressive disease. It
destroys your pet’s teeth and gums and can actually,
in extreme cases, be dangerous enough to cause
death. Bacteria cause the gradual destruction of
your pet’s gums and that same bacteria can enter the
bloodstream and become life threatening. Sometimes
teeth crack and become unstable causing your pet
pain.
If your pet has bad breath, periodontal disease may
be the cause. Look for buildup of yellowish or
brownish material on the teeth. This is calculus,
tartar or plaque—all signs of periodontal disease.
Good oral health can extend your pet’s longevity and
quality of life.
Our dental services include teeth cleaning,
polishing, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery.
