Leslie Walenta – Office Manager

Leslie started working at Rose-Rich Veterinary Clinic in September 1981 at the age of eighteen. She started out as a co-op student assisting the doctors working with both small and large animals. Eventually, she moved to the front desk with a little persuasion from Dr. Robinson and then later became the office manager. She will proudly tell you that she has had only two jobs in her lifetime.

Leslie graduated from Lamar High School in 1982 and married Chris Walenta the same year. She has rescued and fostered many animals over the years but admits she doesn’t make a good “foster mother” because they tend to stay. Most weekends are spent out lure coursing or at a dog show with her Borzois.

Leslie is an active member of the Lone Star Borzoi Club and the Houston Area Hound Association. She is also a Life Member of the Fort Bend County Fair.

Trestina Gilbert

Trestina Gilbert - Practice Manager

Trestina joined Rose-Rich Veterinary Clinic in 2009. Not a stranger, Trestina had worked with both Dr. Moore and Dr. Duty in years past. Trestina has worked in the veterinary field for fifteen years and more specifically, veterinary management for thirteen.

Trestina grew up in California and was entirely surrounded by dairy, beef, and beefalo farms. She started riding around with the local large animal vet when she was twelve. She was completely enthralled with animals and animal care. Her parents were certain that she would become a veterinarian. She, however, was more than certain she would become a rock star. Married now with three children, Mekechnie, Zachary, and Madison, music has become more of a hobby. Her father strongly urged her to major in computer science in college. Her love of animals drove her back to the veterinary field, where she was able to take her computer skills and put them to work.

Outside of work, Tres enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, and three children. They love to go fishing and play music and are presently renovating their house and backyard.

Michael Moore - Business Manager

Married to Dr. Sharon Moore since 1991, Michael began his work with Rose-Rich Veterinary Clinic in 2007 as project manager to design and build the new clinic structure.

A native of Seguin, Texas, Michael received undergraduate and graduate degrees in history from the University of Texas and the University of Houston. He spent more than two decades leading museums and historic sites in Austin and Fort Bend counties, during which time he managed restorations and capital projects. This experience helped him take Dr. Moore’s vision for her new clinic structure and translate it into reality.
